At Martinez Race, we are committed to providing a fair and transparent experience for all participants. Our refund policy is outlined below to ensure mutual understanding and trust.
Perch Fees

Purpose: Perch fees are required to reserve a spot in the race.

Refund Eligibility: Perch fees are refundable if:

The breeder experiences a rough breeding season.

The request for a refund is made prior to February 1st (before the bird acceptance deadline).

Non-Refundable Period: Perch fees become non-refundable after February 1st, regardless of the reason.

Deductions: If a perch fee is refunded, the cost of the provided shirt or jacket will be deducted from the refund amount.
Activation Fees

Non-Refundable: Activation fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.

Due Date: Activation fees must be paid immediately following the 150-mile race to continue participating in subsequent races.
Eligibility for Refunds
Refunds will only be issued under the following circumstances:

Cancellation of the Race:

If the race is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions, or other force majeure events).

Non-Refundable Fees

Entry fees are non-refundable once the official entry deadline has passed.

Fees associated with optional services such as auctions, handling, or shipping are non-refundable.
Requests for Refunds
To request a refund, please follow these steps:

Refund requests will be processed within 14 business days of approval.
Refund Method
Refunds will be issued through the original payment method. If the payment method is no longer valid, please notify us immediately to arrange an alternative.
No-Show Policy
Participants who fail to deliver their pigeons by the required deadline are not eligible for refunds. We recommend ensuring timely delivery to avoid forfeiting entry fees.
Force Majeure Clause
In the event of race delays, alterations, or cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., severe weather, government restrictions, or pandemics), refunds will be considered at the discretion of the Martinez Race management team.
